Type 1 Self-Adhesive Process Indicators, often in the form of autoclave tape or dots, are used across various industries that require sterilization, including medical and industrial settings. They are affixed to the outside of the sterilization load.

These indicators utilize heat-sensitive ink that changes color when exposed to the specific temperature necessary for effective steam sterilization. A color change indicates successful sterilization, while unprocessed loads will retain the indicator’s original color. Steam-Dot™ significantly improves efficiency in processing multiple loads by ensuring a well-organized workflow.

Important: While the indicators signal exposure to steam sterilization, they do not independently guarantee that the sterilization process was successful.
